Sunday Scriptures – Distorted

Child Playing

For we know in part
and we prophesy in part,
but when perfection comes,
the imperfect disappears.

When I was a child,
I talked like a child,
I thought like a child,
I reasoned like a child.

When I became a man,
I put childish ways behind me.

Now we see but a poor reflection
as in a mirror;

then we shall see face to face.

Now I know in part;

then I shall know fully,
even as I am fully known.

Paul — The First Letter to the Church at Corinth 13:9-12

    Hello katharine!
    I woke up singing (just in my head, thankfully) Sandi Patti/Wayne Watson’s Another Time and Another Place
    Then I read your post and it took me there! 😉

    “So I’m waiting
    For another and another place
    Where all my hopes and dreams will be captured with
    one look at Jesus’ face
    Oh, my heart’s been burning, my soul keeps yearning
    Sometimes I can hardly wait for that sweet, sweet
    someday
    When I’ll be swept away
    To another time and another place”

    Thanks, friend!
    Debbie

    You know, having songs floating around upstairs can be a wonderful blessing, sometimes! Thanks so much for this memory. I absolutely loved that song and I hope I can find a copy of it to sing along with (in the car) SOON! 🙂 Thanks, Debbie!
