Changes inside my house. (You get to vote…)

Another Weekly Photo Challenge

Before we repainted the ceiling in our sunroom, the furniture was arranged in this way:

Old sunroom

Now that we have a new, weak-winter-sky blue ceiling, we tried rearranging it in this way:

New sunroom

It may be hard to tell without the books yet in the bookcases, but I’d like an opinion from you, ย dear reader, ย about which way looks better.ย  THANKS!

Oh, Mrs. C., thanks for this! I have a strong sense of propriety about how the family areas should make us feel like staying and schnuggling in, and this is the feeling I wanted. I love the cage, too, and would love a bird, also, if someone else would clean up the mess. ๐Ÿ™‚ Failing that, I usually burn a fat candle in it for special occasions.
The ceiling, I realize, does not show, and I regret that. However, in a another shot where it does show, it does not really look blue. It does not even look blue to me, now, as I glance upward, sitting in that very room on this lovely fall day. There is so little blue in it, precisely like one of those winter mornings when the sky almost looks white and definitely looks weak.
Thanks for taking time to weigh in, here! You have helped me know what to do.

Yes, they are, Leah! More easily opened and cleaned, too. Same for the blinds. I have enjoyed that about the changes we made. Before we had that daybed, we had those windows open all the time. After I moved it, we began opening them more, again. Hmm.

In the winter, that is a plus, but in the summer–not so much. Living in the Deep South, we tend to block out the sun after it gets up and going, in the summer. In fact, the sunroom is closed off during the hottest months, just so we can get the AC to cut off when it is set at 79.
      Hot.
I’m thinking I’ll switch it back and forth for a while. Nice to know that no matter what I do, someone will like it! ๐Ÿ™‚
