So Totally Unexpected

Another WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge

Went down to the guest house to clean a bit. Family is coming and knew the floors were needing a good going over. Also counter-tops. And then I would make beds and be all ready for everyone.

Not.

Discovered a bird had somehow (?) gotten trapped in there and in its desperation to escape had done the following:

Unexpected finding!

Unexpected finding!

Bless the poor thing’s heart! I am sure the terror of its situation was nearly unbearable. And now I get to sew and wash cinder-block walls and all sorts of fun. Whew!

May not post for a while!

Oh, yes, we’ve had that too. The difficult thing, though, is not to discover it and find it has died after destroying several things while trying to escape. Sad and very work-intensive. I’m skipping a meeting tonight in order to try and catch up, and am only checking here briefly, while I snack for supper…SO TIRED! 🙂

Wow…Poor bird…seams they are not really used to human creations…probably in the woods it didn’t get stuck…and poor you…you are so fond of life you probably got really sad…it’s heartbreaking…that and all the mess…i hope this episode doesn’t repeat itself ever…and i also hope all the rest is ok…better…all the rest is great!!!

Yes, “poor bird”! And it is a sad thing, so much so, that my husband knows he should take care of the carcass because it pains me so. And the mess is all fixed. I have long wanted different curtains in that building, so now I must get busy and replace them. For now, with just my own family, a simple piece of fabric draped over the rod will be enough. I do have a new project before me, though!
I think the rest of the holiday, here, will go well. My daughter has arrived, and we were not sure she could even come, so we are happy.
Thanks for stopping by, Giuls, and for caring. 🙂

That’s what husbands are for!!! lol… We care too but we prefer to do it instead of letting our ladies suffer…i am glad it’s all over now. What new project?? Interesting…what are you up to?? I’m glad you have your family with you. It’s the best thing that can happen….Glad to chat with you dear friend !!! 🙂
